The Communications Team

The Communications Department is made up of a team of creative females:

Melanie Rumley (a.k.a. Mel) is our Communications Officer and master organizer. She keeps the entire team on track with her planning calendar and detailed notes. She also does a lot of coordinating of photo shoots, news releases, events and much more. Mel’s stellar organization skills keep her family on track too. She lives in southwest Barrie with husband Jay, son Joel and dog Monty, and enjoys couponing, cooking and country music.

Alison LaMantia leads the Communications Team as Manager of Communications. Alison collaborates with department managers, works on key system projects, develops strategic communication plans to support system goals, and is the main contact for schools and media. Alison and her husband Scott recently welcomed daughter Morley, and are enjoying life in Sugarbush (Horseshoe Valley) with the new addition to their family.

She and her family, including husband Chris, son Logan and dog Roxy live in Wasaga Beach, and try to take advantage of all of the outdoor opportunities that community has to offer.
