What made you decide to come to attend CCI? My mom went to school here and I love the athletic program at CCI.

What do you like about Grade 9? Learning new things and having more freedom.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve had and how did you handle it? My biggest challenge was homework—lots of it. I am on my own to organize the due dates and workload. I ask for help if I need it, and I make sure when I get an assignment, I start to work on it right away.

What school activities are you a part of? I use the fitness room at school, take part in Crossfit and am on a Collingwood Rep Hockey team.

What advice would you give to Grade 8 students? Do your homework, get organized, pay attention and if you need help, ask for it.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve had and how did you handle it? When I first started high school, I got lost a lot. It’s a big change, and I couldn’t figure out where things were. But the school had lots of teachers in the hallways during the first few weeks, and they all helped. They were really friendly.

What school activities are you a part of? I don’t have time for after school activities because I go to dance class most days of the week.

What advice would you give to Grade 8 students? If you ever feel lost, just talk to a teacher. They are there to help.
